Mobility snacks

Two-minute movement breaks, taken between tasks, outperform the hour that keeps being postponed. Five snacks a day is a practice.

Attach them to transitions

A mobility snack after each meeting or each committed block: shoulder rolls, a standing side bend, a calf raise at the counter. The transition is the trigger; the movement is a ninety-second passenger.

Five snacks, honestly taken, total ten distributed minutes that no calendar notices and no evening must repay. Distributed movement is the compound interest of exercise.

Keep the menu tiny

Three movements remembered beat a repertoire browsed. Rotate the same snacks for a month, then change one; the practice deepens by subtraction, like a yoga sequence that finally works because two poses were dropped.

The snack rule is the journal’s whole method in miniature: small, attached, repeated. It applies to stretching, hydration, and most of what passes for wellbeing.
